How to Get Rid of Holiday Stress

Keeping stress in check is hard any time of the year.
But, at the holidays, the endless to-dos, anticipation of family time, and financial stretching can magnify our feelings of overwhelm.
This is not what God intended for us.
Instead, we are called to balance our frenzy with rest. For one day each week (or one afternoon, or one hour) God invites us to stop and take notice of the wonder surrounding us.
Impossible, right?
That’s what I thought.
That’s why I wrote For Sabbath’s Sake: Embracing Time for Rest, Worship, and Community, my second Upper Room Book. For Sabbath’s Sake debuts October 2017, but you get a sneak peek by heading over to My Quiet Spaces for this month’s theme: Sabbath.
Finding quiet moments during the holidays is tough. But what better time to pause and return to the real reason for all the hustle and bustle: hope, peace, love, and joy.

Take a break, check out these sabbath tips, and watch your holiday stress melt away.
PS: Bonus! Here’s your exclusive sneak peek of the For Sabbath’s Sake book cover–stay tuned for more info. Coming to you, October 2017.
I met you at Assembly & got your book, SAFFRON CROSS. Will be excited to read the next 1.
Thank you!
Marry Christmas to you and yours!
