The Teamwork of Birthing a Book

The Busy-ness of Life

The past six weeks have been crazy awesome. Fred and I traveled to the BookExpo America in New York to promote Saffron Cross. We’ve packed boxes for our move from a one-bedroom to a two-bedroom apartment (upgrade!). My editor and I have completed the final edits on the manuscript to prepare for printing. Precious family time has been squeezed in when my brother, sister-in-law, niece, and nephew have visited NC; we enjoyed a vacation with my paternal family in Georgia. And, this past week–we moved!

Whew.

Teamwork

All the while, Fred and I have worked our day jobs and continue to prepare for the launch of our “book baby,” whose gestation will be doubly celebrated this week for our third wedding anniversary and in less than 90 days for its official October 1 release.

We’ve scheduled speaking engagements, book events, interviews, guest blog posts, and every few days, we turn to each other and say, “Is this real?”

I couldn’t have written the book without my precious Christian-Hindu marriage and your interest in what it’s like to be married to someone of a different faith. The book would still be sitting my desk drawer if it weren’t for the good folks at Upper Room Books/Fresh Air Books who believe that this is a story YOU need to read.

Our cup overflows, and we know it’s a team effort.

As we move toward October 1, I want to continue to say thank you!

Special thanks to:
