Dream Big: BookExpo America

Two years ago, I left my job at Duke University to write a book. Today, I fly to New York to attend the largest publishing event in North America in preparation for the October 1 release of Saffron Cross.
You, my husband, family, and friends have been there the entire journey–reading this blog, encouraging, pushing, and praying. Thank you.
Here’s what I hope we’ll all do today: open ourselves to the Divine’s dreams for us and stop hitting the snooze button. I’m living proof that dreams do come true!
Enjoy this nugget from Anne Lamott’s Facebook page, May 19th, 2013:
This is how I want to be when I grow up–a working writer! It’s a great honor, to be one of the artists or story tellers for the culture, like getting one of the 5 golden tickets in Willy Wonka. Don’t squander it. We get to start our new 24 hours as soon as we remember to. We get to stop hitting the snooze button.
Will you be at BEA? We’d love to meet you. Tweet us your location, or drop by booth 1064 (Upper Room/Abingdon Press) on Thursday, May 31st, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to say hey and get your signed advance reader copy of Saffron Cross!
So excited for you, Dana!
Thanks, Jeannie! We had a wonderful time celebrating Saffron Cross at BEA. Thanks to you, Upper Room Books, Fresh Air Books, and Abingdon Press!
