Drafting Your Bucket List

A few months ago, I wrote about one of my mother’s bucket list accomplishments.
Recently, it occurred to me that, while I had made many mental notes for my own bucket list, I hadn’t actually written anything down. I had even had a bucket list moment during our North Carolina mountain excursion, prompting me to (try to) remember to begin the list. Of course, I forgot about it, until I discovered this article on my Google reader this morning: “How to Make Your Bucket List”.
Yipeee! Thanks, universe, for the timely reminder! Following the article’s guidelines, here’s my first draft of 10 bucket list items, in random order, along with some with links and photos:
1). CHECK! Stand under a waterfall (completed at Hickory Nut Falls, Chimney Rock State Park, during our weekend adventures).

2). Find my memoir on interfaith marriage here:

3). Read Norman Maclean’s A River Runs Through It

3). Return to Vrindavan, India for a visit.
4). Visit California.
5). Visit Las Vegas.
6). Dust off my violin and play again.
7). Live on a farm and practice self-sufficiency.
8). Have a milking cow and a fuzzy cat (in my opinion, God’s two most perfect creatures).
9). Grow my first vegetable (via our container garden).
10). Regain my French fluency (lost long, long, ago after I was no longer forced to study each day to earn my degree).
What’s on your bucket list?
