Leaving Duke

Today is the first day of my full-time freelance writing career.

My near decade of study and work at Duke University equipped me for this decision. Empowered by faculty and staff, Duke afforded me invaluable opportunities and preparation for this journey. Since arriving at Duke (age 22), I’ve become a more creative and thoughtful person. I’m grateful for the many Duke community members who mentor their students and young professionals–fostering a spirit of lifelong learning and stewardship.

I look forward to continuing my relationship with Duke, both as a supporter of its programs and as a valued professional trained in its communications methodology.

Today is the first day of my new career. I’m offering two streams of services: communications/writing and spiritual direction. I’ll also be blogging about the freelance process and its valuable lessons. Got a freelance tip? Please share! Thank you experiencing this journey with me. Stay tuned!
