A Day in Vrindavan

A Day in Vrindavan

Thanks to the rhythms of ashram life, our daily schedule has emerged.

View from our favorite spot for morning prayer at the Krishna-Balaram Temple, Vrindavan

5:00 a.m. – Wake up, dress, and prepare ourselves for prayer/chanting  (japa) at the temple (Krishna Balaram Mandir).

7:15 a.m.Arati at the temple (worship).

8:00 a.m. – Breakfast at MVT restaurant (safe for Western stomachs!). We eat parathas, fresh yogurt, porridge, juice, and ginger tea.

9:00 a.m. – Return to our room and prepare for the day (plan any site-seeing/shopping), a bit of writing.

9:30 a.m. – Adventures!

12:00 p.m. – Back to MVT for lunch (unless we save some of our breakfast and have a picnic)

1:00 p.m. – More adventures and/or walks in the MVT garden for prayer, writing.
